Rachel as Hailey Happens Fitness Nutrition Coach

Rachel Boutagy

Rachel is an online fitness coach based on the Mid North Coast of NSW, Australia. With an undergraduate degree in Sports Science from the University of New England and a Bachelor of Science in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College of National Health, Rachel spent 12 years in Sydney as a personal trainer, before relocating to regional NSW with her young family. Here she transitioned her expertise to help build an advanced fitness education brand.

As a busy mother and entrepreneur Rachel understands the challenges that come with prioritising health and fitness at this stage of life. She has a passion for strength training and helping women build healthy relationships between food and exercise.

"Hailey started coaching me in May 2023 and in 6 months Ive met my targeted body fat & weight. I've been chubby and over weight for almost most of my life. I've tried many different diets and none of them seemed to work long term.  I was on the keto diet for 3 years.  Hailey understood my struggles in adding carbs back to my meals and gradually we were able to do so and now I eat normal just like everyone else.

I love the Zoom sessions I have with Hailey every week. She has so much knowledge in different aspects of the women's body. She has educated me and guide me on my relationship with food and exercise. I am no longer afraid to eat carbs and fruits! She has also shared a lot of knowledge on how the body reacts to the macros. Hailey made my fat loss journey so easy. I know it might be easy to say. But being consistent really is the key. A few months of hard work does matter."

"It's important for me to take some space on here to express deep appreciation for you and your warm kind vibrant energy! I scored a 8/10 confidence (above) hugely because there's something about you that makes it feel possible. You have a gift of presence. Back in April/May when I finally surrendered that I needed a trainer to embark on this body comp change thing, I felt I would have scored a 5/10 then as I looked for people and interviewed people I'd say the score dropped to 3/10. So, thank YOU for making me feel it's possible! And for all your knowledge and expertise.

As I get stronger, learning more technical lifting skills might be kinda fun! Also, learning how to integrate a strength training program alongside swimming and biking which I always thought were counter productive. Nutritionally I've researched a lot as a clinician yet, I always feel like there's so much to learn! So, I've really enjoyed listening to your interviews on the Body Pod (awesome) and hearing your ideas/suggestions on how to use nutrition as a tool in the whole process. A little side note, I am curious about this whole process and am using the experience as professional field research. I am super interested the journey of body comp change with a history of eating "stuff." It's common within the psychiatric community to encourage women to be "body positive" and "celebrate the body you live in." While this sounds lovely in theory, what I've found within myself and other women in their mid-life who have gained weight/lost strength is that they have a deep desire to change their bodies. But, they are afraid to do so without it triggering or becoming "destructive" to their recovery. I strongly believe it's possible to do this (while having fun) and honoring one's own journey with any previous eating behaviors. May I even suggest that it can be healing?"
